Bibliotheque

The Bibliotheque is nothing short of extraordinary. Created as a library, the room contains many items of interest. The 18th century painting above the fireplace known as “annuncio” is a Spanish national treasure. The books are all antiquarian leather clad and original 17th to 19th century. The furniture a leather “gentleman’s club” feel for ultimate relaxation. The original wooden desk boasts that the US ambassador to France used to write his letters to US President Thomas Jefferson in the early 18th century. He was a good friend of the count who owned the Chateau. The room has also a sophisticated high power sound system. Antiquarian enjoyment reeks in this room.
